A NEW MODEL, reflex camera is announced by Eastman Kodak Co. with its Kodak Reflex II which incorporates the new plastics Kodak Ektalite Field Lens to increase the over-all illumination on the groundglass. Other features over the original Kodak Reflex camera are a new automatic film stop which measures the right amount of film for each exposure; a Flash Kodamatic shutter with speeds up to 1/300 second; and a new field case which has hidden steel reinforcements.

Grounded, the dramatic weather photograph that leads this month’s picture section and which won a prize in POPULAR PHOTOGRAPHY'S 1918 Picture Contest, is the work of Clifford Baker, a 1st Lt. in the U. S. Air Force. The photographic equipment used by Baker to make his excellent study of an airfield being drenched with rain and illuminated by bolts of lightning was a Jiffy Kodak Six-20 camera and Kodak Super-XX film.
