What year did you start tattooing? I started tattooing in 1999 while I was still in high school. I tattooed my first piece on my older brother Jay after receiving my tattoo equipment in the mail. I still feel bad for my brother today—those pieces I did for him are still the same.

What year did you start tattooing? Well, let's see—I started tattooing when I was 20 and now I'm ... erm ... well ... that was 15 years ago!!!! So I started tattooing in 1997. How did you get into tattooing? I used to hang out with an older crowd. They were into getting tattooed, so I spent a lot of time at the local tattoo parlor watching.

What year did you start tattooing? I started tattooing sometime between 2005 and 2006, depending on when you start counting. How did you get into tattooing? I looked for an apprenticeship until I was finally lucky enough to find one. Where did you apprentice?

What year did you start tattooing? I started out as a tattoo apprentice around 1995 when I was 17 years old. It was a while ago! How did you get into tattooing? I have always drawn—it was and remains my greatest hobby. In high school, we students would choose an internship for two weeks.

What year did you start tattooing? I first started working in the shop in April 2008. Before that I was just an aspiring kitchen magician. How did you get into tattooing? I had a friend in high school who grew up tattooing. He was kind enough to always let me hang over his shoulder.

How did you get into tattooing? I was trying to figure out a way to support myself as an artist—I was always more of a drawer than a painter. So when I got my first tattoo I saw the "light"! I found my tribe! Where did you apprentice? Erno Tattoo in San Francisco.

What year did you start tattooing? How did you get into tattooing? I started tattooing about 12 years ago. I ordered equipment from a magazine and had it sent to my house, and then started tattooing on friends. I had always wanted a tattoo and was very into art. Tattooing was a way to make my art more permanent.

What year did you start tattooing? Basically I started tattooing in the year 2000. I was like 28 years old, kind of late. I think I was ready to tattoo at 18 but it takes me a long time to get brave enough and gather the courage to start tattooing.

What year did you start tattooing? I started tattooing in 2007. How did you get into tattooing? It was a compilation of things that put a tattoo machine in my hand. I started taking art seriously in high school, doing well in art classes, and then got heavy into graffiti.
